Mighty DOOM is a 2D endless arcade time-killer for any player while they are on a short break. As the name suggests, the game acts as a spin-off title for DOOM, the fan-favorite hit from the past. The game comes up with some limited amounts of features and an endless game mode that helps them out to battle with the zombies and thus go ahead in this long-lasting battle. Here in this Mighty DOOM review, we will discuss Mighty DOOM and share our first impressions of the game.

Dodge Bullets, Run and Gun your way through this endless Arcade

Starting off with Mighty DOOM review, since being a 2D-based endless arcade game, the players go through a lot of stages through which they fight against a wave of zombies. On every 10th stage, a boss villain comes along the pathway.

This thing remains interesting at the beginning as the players still stay in the phase of exploring the game. But, later the same thing rolls up and the interest tends to fade as time passes. Thus, the game is not so good to be precise and the players don’t feel the same energy after playing it regularly.

Mighty Doom Gameplay early access

At this game size range, players can easily witness some more great games with a better storyline and a game that will surely keep up the interest of the players within themselves. Mighty DOOM also does not come up with any other game mode so that players can enjoy a bit more and help themselves to earn up some more resources. This also puts the game at a slight disadvantage.

Mighty DOOM boasts an arsenal of weapons and resources

Mighty DOOM has successfully introduced all the weapons from the Doom series and thus the OGs will find it a bit interesting due to the presence of all those weapons that they have used up in their early days. The skill features and updating them are also quite handy and easy to go with. The game serves the in-game currencies and resources at a wholesome rate and thus players can easily upgrade the gears and other required stats so that their character becomes much more powerful than before.

Easy Controls but Graphics clearly isn’t the game’s strongest suit

Mighty Doom is based upon 2D graphics as it comes up with a good-to-go and more than-average graphic experience for the players. The game is a great piece to kill your time but graphics is obviously not the most important aspect players can witness over the game.

The graphics obviously contribute but all the fighting frames and movement remain the same for every stage and for every kind of weapon players use. Also, if we get along the verge of controls, it is very easy to use and thus players can easily get bored with it.

Mighty Doom Gameplay Overview
Image via Bethesda Softworks

Players just have to control the movement of their chosen character, and nothing else. Yes, also have to tap once on the special weapon after a regular interval of time so that they can use it against the zombies. That’s it, nothing more can be done by the players while they are in a fight. The character will shoot on its own and just go around fighting.

No ads but IAPs do pop up in the game along with the demon hordes

It is quite good and interesting to know that the game doesn’t come along much with advertisements and interrupts the gameplay experience of the players and thus this puts the game to a little more advantage. The game has fewer in-app purchases compared to the regular games these days.

Mighty Doom Mastery

If the players feel like it, they can go with transactions but the reality is, even if they do not pay, players will not face any trouble as they receive enough in-game currency and resources that will help them with the upgradation process.

Final Verdict

Mighty DOOM is a great game to pass your time and thus comes up with fewer fascinating features as well. The players who have experienced the vintage Doom series won’t like this piece much but the ones who are new to this world can get a pinch of good experience but have a higher chance to get disappointed soon because of experiencing the same gameplay walkover every single day.

If you are into city building or even simulation titles on mobile, you probably have come across the name of Pocket City. After nearly 5 years, the game got its much-awaited sequel, Pocket City 2 and in this article, we’ll review this indie title and go through all the good parts and not-so-good parts to help you decide if you would like to play the role of your dream city’s mayor.

Pocket City 2 starts with the same backdrop as its predecessor

As you step into the shoes of the city’s mayor, you’ll be first customizing your avatar which is a new addition to this title. The story, however, remains the same old thing where you have to grow your small settlement into a thriving city. One notable thing that you would notice at the start of your game is that you can enjoy the game in both portrait and landscape mode.

There isn’t a proper story here, but the majority of the city-building simulation titles are like this only. You, on the other hand, will get the option to rename your city and expand your city to the adjacent areas if you wish to. The best part is, you can take a free ride in different vehicles to experience the city yourself.

Artstyle and Music remain the same

The game brings a low poly art style and this looks quite attractive that matches well with the overall game theme. Graphics-wise the game has not got any upgrade which was not necessary to be very honest. As someone who has hundreds of hours combined on both titles, I could tell that the art style is just a decent part of this game.

Just like its graphics, the game’s music and sounds too are very minimalistic that sync well. You’ll never realize that there’s something going on in the background. I really loved the “Yeey!” sound that the NPCs made whenever you, as the mayor, accepted any small requests or quests. The block parties or the other events you’ll start will also have separate music.

Pocket City 2 game mechanism has got a nice upgrade

Although Pocket City 2 has the same core gameplay, the various mechanisms got a significant upgrade. Your role as the mayor will be to grow your city in every aspect, be it the population, happiness, or overall quality of life. As a city management simulation title, Pocket City 2 has a lot to offer to its players.

You’ll get detailed stats for every aspect of your city. And this insight will help you to understand and overcome all the problems and help you thrive. Compared to Pocket City, this game’s metrics system is much better. The game has added a well-managed research tree. As you progress through the game and reach milestones, you’ll be rewarded with Research Points that you can use to research and get extra benefits.

You also get the option to set the tax rates for Income, Property, and Sales. Each of these will affect Tax satisfaction which indirectly affects the Happiness index of the city. At the same time, this will also define whether the population will increase or decrease.

Pocket City 2

You can also take loans from Bank at 2% daily interest. The amount of the loan will depend on the number of banks you have in the city. Having the courage to take loans and repaying them will make things interesting. Your decision will highly impact the growth of the city’s economy and overall expansion.

Plenty of things to do but replayability is a question

As you can already read from the Pocket City 2 review, the players will have a lot to do in this game. From micromanaging the city’s economy to the overall growth of the city you’ll be pretty hooked during the time you would play. The addiction will be real! You would also enjoy the changing seasons that will turn the overall color of your city. For example, during the summer season, the city will be vibrant, winter will turn the city white, and autumn leaves will turn your city orange, how cool is that!

The map, however, may look small if you just look at one city. But that too comes with a nice solution. Pocket City 2 will allow you to create more than one city as you can see in the image given below. Each area will come with a different terrain that may spice up your gameplay. You can also transfer some money from one city to another for a progress boost.

Pocket City 2, pocket city 2 review
Image via Codebrew Games

If you get addicted to this game like me, you would end up hitting level 50 in a single day and then you would feel what’s next? You can either go for the city expansion in the adjacent map or maybe start over. Although the game does not stop at level 50, it’s probably when you’ll have all the areas unlocked and have most of them filled with buildings already. So that puts a question mark on the replayability of this game.

Building your own City is definitely worth your time and your… money

For $4.99 the game’s value for money is fair. If you love city-building games or are just a fan of simulation games, this is a game you should not miss. This is a game that you would play all day long on a lazy weekend. But do note that it is for that weekend only, you may get bored real quick after that considering there’s no online option. So the value may not exactly be the same for you.

Final Verdict

Overall, Pocket City 2 will stand proudly with the contemporary hits of the market (such as EA’s SimCity Buildit) as evident in our review. The gameplay will keep you hooked to the game every single moment and you’ll be in the constant urge of improving your city, and thats what a Mayor should do, right?! The bug-free simplistic gameplay and art style just add another layer of satisfaction to this indie masterpiece!

Arena Breakout is Tencent‘s latest work in the mobile FPS genre. Developed by a Tencent games studio, MoreFun Studios, Arena Breakout is a free-to-play shooter which emphasizes strategic gameplay. The game drops players into an open world, where they must scavenge for loot and battle with other enemies. Unlike most Battle Royale games, where the aim is to be the last man standing, the goal in Arena Breakout is to reach extraction points with as much loot as possible. Fans of the popular PC game, Escape from Tarkov, will be aware of these mechanics. In this article, we will review Arena Breakout and share our first impressions of the game.

The game promises high-end graphics and an immersive experience for players. It looks like Tencent are adding another competitive environment to their portfolio, similar to that in their other games such as Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG Mobile. Admittedly, there was a sense of Déjà Vu when the news of yet another hardcore mobile shooter first broke out. This genre is packed with all kinds of different themes and ideas already. However, considering the kind of approach Arena Breakout has taken, it seems like this game has potential despite the saturated market.

Arena Breakout showcases the nitty-gritty life on the battlefield

Starting with the Arena Breakout review, one thing which is quite striking about this game is that it stays real and authentic. The game features a series of mechanics that showcase what life is really like on a battlefield. The intricate full-body injury system, detailed recoil effects, and weapon animations are just a few of the ways in which Arena Breakout builds up that immersive soldier experience.

In particular, the injury system is something that deserves its own praise. Damage is dealt with separately to each body part and there are varying effects depending on which part is hit. For example, a fracture to the leg can reduce movement speed and limit jump height, running would make this worse.

clipboard-arena-breakout-character
Image via Tencent Games

Fractures on the arms reduce the speed of picking up and using items, and damage to the stomach impacts thirst and stamina. HP is no longer just a bar on the screen indicating how close you are dead, there are multiple factors to keep in mind, and not paying medical attention to these causes further damage.

As expected from a Tencent game, the graphics are great, and the game runs well too. Of course, the best balance here will depend on the quality of the device. Tencent had promised an immersive experience through Arena Breakout and it looks like we are getting exactly that.

The gameplay mechanics reward strategy and punishes disorganization

It’s rarely a good idea to dive into gunfights head-first in Arena Breakout. This game promotes and subsequently rewards strategic and out-of-the-box thinking. Additionally, Arena Breakout puts focus on teamwork and cooperation to succeed. From dealing with groups of enemies to clearing out rooms, everything is much smoother and satisfying when coordinated with teammates.

Arena Breakout
Image via Tencent Games

Tencent has a solid track record with FPS games so it would be a surprise if they fumbled on the controls. For fans of COD Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and the like, the controls and UI should be very familiar. For a game of competitive potential, it’s important for the controls to be inch-perfect, and Tencent has made sure that is the case.

In terms of ways to play, Arena Breakout currently offers two modes, Tac Ops and Covert Ops. The former is the standard way to play, where players can choose what equipment to take into battle. Alternatively, Covert Ops creates a loadout for the player. The aim of extraction is similar, but NPCs in the game function differently. Additionally, there are 3 maps available, including a farm, a secluded valley, and a war-ridden town.

Arena Breakout
Image via Tencent Games

One slight complaint is at the moment, AI-controlled enemies (bots) dominate the lobby. Perhaps this is due to the game being region-restricted, but hopefully, this balances out moving forward. Battling off against other real players would make gameplay much more engaging and competitive.

The game offers a breath of fresh air in the mobile FPS genre

Managing loot is a key aspect of Arena Breakout. The loot itself includes a large plethora of weapons and attachments, medical pills, armor, etc. However, unlike most other Battle Royale games, all these items hold importance in the game as a whole. All the collected loot gets stashed after safely reaching extraction in a round, and players can choose to either sell for money or take some of that loot back into the next round.

Arena Breakout weapons list
Image via Tencent Games

There’s a sense of continuity in the game – there is that ongoing decision of how to manage loot between rounds. Because of that, progress in this game is quite fluid and dynamic, rather than the linear style in most other games. It’s an interesting concept and it is different from what we’re used to. However, with this kind of system, the path of progression can be unclear and so it is important the developers ensure the game is always fresh with content to keep players wanting to come back.

Of course, these looting mechanics are taken from Escape from Tarkov, so we can’t give complete credit to Tencent for this idea. Furthermore, Arena Breakout isn’t the first to serve as a mobile alternative to Escape from Tarkov either – Netease was first with TPS shooters, Badlanders, and Lost Light. It appears Tencent has brought out its own competitor to battle Netease’s monopoly on this style of mobile shooter. Since Arena Breakout features a 1st person perspective, it’s still worth trying for those that have already dipped into Badlanders/Lost Light.

Final Verdict

This trend of Escape from Tarkov style shooters on mobile began with Netease and now Tencent has come for a piece too. The mobile shooter market is becoming increasingly saturated, so it’s nice to see a different style come into play. Tencent has gone for a realistic experience with Arena Breakout and has executed the idea quite nicely.

The game runs well, the mechanics are interesting and ultimately it’s a breath of fresh air amongst FPS games on mobile. Whether Tencent takes a competitive spin on this game will be interesting to see. At the moment though, from a review perspective, Arena Breakout is a strategy-heavy shooter with great potential, perfect to play with a group of friends.

Level Infinite‘s recently released a new mobile game available on the Brazilian servers, Honor of Kings, which is starting to take the mobile MOBA scene by storm with its 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena gameplay, aiming to rival other popular and mobile powerhouse titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and LoL Wild Rift. In this Honor of Kings review, We will look into its gameplay, graphics/art design, map, role setting, and even how it stacks up to the more household mobile MOBA names available like Mobile Legends and League of Legends Wildrift. So, without further ado, let’s get the review started.

Developed as the ultimate test of strategy, skill, and teamwork, players engage in strategic real-time battles with the objective of destroying their opponent’s base. Honor of Kings is shaping up to be a real contender even while being in its earliest stages of development without even a global release happening yet.

Engage in fierce team fights in this classic MOBA title

To kick off the Honor of Kings Review, it must be told that the game greatly embodies the classic MOBA experience which is a multiplayer online game that combines strategy, teamwork, and action. The players are still divided into two teams of five members and must work together to destroy the enemy’s base while defending their own.

Honor of Kings review

Whether you’re an experienced MOBA player or new to the genre, Classic MOBA provides a fun and challenging gameplay experience that will keep you engaged and entertained. MOBA games have been one if not the most successful gaming genre ever since Defense of The Ancients came out in the past decade or two. Honor of Kings continues the traditional MOBA while still having a personality of its own.

Master heroes with unique character design in a familiar role setting

Roles are one of the most defining factors in the genre of MOBA games. This is where the most important skill of the game comes in which is the ability to work in a team. It is in every MOBA game that players will need to move into a certain role in the team to make the team’s winning chance as high as possible.

Honor of Kings review
Image via Level Infinite

In Honor of Kings, there are five roles to choose from as it is in other MOBA games which have their own unique roles and playstyles for players. In Honor of Kings, the roles are Support/Roam, Farm laner, Mid Core, Clash Laner, and Jungler. Each with their role being most similar to the League of Legends role setting of 1-1-2-1.

Honor of Kings although a very simplistic design in maps and other visual details, did not shy away from creating amazing designs for their characters. As exampled by Peacekeeper, in the above picture, we can see many details in the armor and each of its parts, this gives a really interesting connection from the characters to the player as they have a unique sense of life in them.

peacekeeper-honor-of-kings
Image via Level Infinite

Additionally, their character creation choices were also on point with huge inspiration from chinese legendary characters like Lu Bu and the such who is one of our favorite legendary warrior figures ever.

Play your own style in a tried and tested Map

Honor of Kings’ really does embody the classic MOBA experience. This is reflected in the game’s map design/creation. We can see that the game uses the traditional three-lane map system each of which has three towers protecting its base. The friendly creeps spawn from the bases and attack enemy towers and bases, while a jungle area is home to neutral monsters that players can hunt for gold and experience points.

Honor of Kings Map
Image via Level Infinite

Essentially, the game map in Honor of Kings is also divided into different sections with distinct features and purposes that players can utilize to gain advantages in battle. The map also includes two objectives that give buff for the whole team and two every two buffs that buff the attack of the players or their ability and mana regen.

This specific format of the three-lane system is very close to how League of Legends PC and Mobile Legends was in the past. This is a map that fully embodies the MOBA genre as it is the first map created for it in the Defense of the Ancients. Players can learn more about the in-game map in our comprehensive Map Guide here.

The game offers simplistic controls and efficient design

Honor of Kings opted to employ a more simplistic and efficient design that allows players to easily navigate and enjoy the game without unnecessary distractions or complications. The game’s interface is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to understand and play.

honor of kings gameplay
Image via Level Infinite

The controls are straightforward, allowing players to quickly master the mechanics of the game and focus on strategy and teamwork. Overall, Honor of Kings’ simplistic yet still beautiful graphics and efficient design enhances the overall gameplay experience for the players, providing them with a smooth and competitive through the battlefield.

Honor of Kings lacks its signature positioning

Honor of Kings, although a very young and new game in comparison to the mobile MOBA powerhouses, is shaping to become a big competitor in the scene. With only being released into the Brazilian servers at the moment it already is the talk for the mobile MOBA market by many players.

One aspect that the game should focus on however is having their very own unique personality. There should be a designing element that would tell the players that in Honor of Kings, this is what we expect it to be in comparison to Mobile Legends which is an extremely fast-paced game, to LoL Wild Rift which has a more laid-back early game, and more technical based gameplay.

Money can buy you Cosmetics but not guarantees an advantage

Ingame monetization is an important topic when evaluating how good or bad a mobile game is, as mobile games are usually notorious for being cash grabs. However, Honor of Kings is arguably mild in comparison to most other mobile games available.

monetization-system-honor-of-kings
Image via Level Infinite

The biggest part of the game’s monetization is just like how Wild Rift does it, for the cosmetic skins. This skin also does not give additional buffs to the characters unlike in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang where having a skin gives a tad bit of an advantage to the players by giving them a tiny stat boost to the character that is using the skin.

Final Verdict

Overall, as apparent in our Honor of Kings review, the game stands out as an exceptional MOBA game, offering players a perfect balance of excitement and competitiveness. The game’s focus on gameplay and experience, rather than flashy graphics, contributes to its intense and competitive atmosphere.

The game’s challenging characters and mechanics add depth and excitement as players explore new strategies and tactics to succeed. Moreover, Honor of Kings takes a more traditional approach to the game, particularly in the laning phase, which sets it apart from other MOBA games like Mobile Legends. Despite this, the game’s pace remains brisk, and the action never slows down.

If you’re seeking a new challenge, Honor of Kings is a game you shouldn’t miss. The level of competitive value and gaming depth provided by the game is well worth the time invested in it. The game has enjoyable and demanding gameplay, an easy user interface, simple yet stunning graphics and sound, and, finally, a high potential for entry into the professional esports scene. Honor of Kings is the game for you if you want exciting and competitive MOBA games that are available at your fingertips.

Ace Racer is a new mobile racing game developed by NetEase and published via Exptional Global. The game tests the players’ driving skills up to the ultimate level with its unique sets of time challenges and races scattered all around the map in different stages of terrain. The factor which really makes Ace Racer an Ace in the racing genre is the unpredictability of the races, the races are so nonlinear that it becomes next to impossible to predict what to expect in the upcoming parts of the races. There are different challenges, sets of barricades, and elements of race tracks that increase the difficulty of each individual race. Here in this Ace Racer Review, we will review what the game has to offer.

The game offers a fully licensed iconic collection of real-time cars available for players to choose from as part of their ride in the game. Each car is further customizable and upgradeable for better performance as suited best by the players. The collection includes but is not limited to Porsche 911, Nissan GT-R, and other real-life luxury rides. Some of these rides have been tweaked and are combined versions of real-time classic cars added to the game by developers.

Experience over-the-top racing tracks full of action and adventures

As stated before in our Ace Racer Review, race tracks mark the difference between the other racing titles and this one. Each race track offers a completely different experience than the last. There are different terrains different powers and different ways of tackling the opponents in the game. The game in terms of unpredictability and variety of race tracks rivals the likes of Asphalt 9. To top it off there are stunts that can be performed by the players to boost the Nitros’ stats useful in outperforming opponents.

There are unique locations covered in almost every map in the game while playing linearity and repetitiveness of the game certainly won’t trouble anyone. The game covers a variety of new locations and players will never feel like encountering a similar location twice in Ace Racer. Ace Racer offers a sleek and futuristic vibe with its enhanced graphics and personalized gameplay. The game offers different sets of races as well, be it timed challenges or the classic sprint and drag races, Ace Racer has every blade of the grass-covered.

Customize not only your ride but your rider too

Customization is something that is taken very seriously in the game, be it the rider or the ride there are different options available for character customization and many such options for the ride too. The game focuses to deliver good old-fashioned racing fun that brings on nostalgia.

Even newbie racers can jump in seamlessly with the game’s intuitive controls that are highly optimized for mobile fun. In Ace Racer players can certainly make sure that they have a highly distinguished ride equipped with the best body parts.

The cars in the game come with a defined set of roles that define what specialty the car will offer on the racetracks. Special powers are allotted to each and every car in the game and these powers are allotted according to the specialty each car has to offer.

These specialties are namely, Interceptor, Speedster, and Supporter. Interceptors as the name would suggest intercept other opponents and disrupt their progress. Boosters offer passive abilities to other members of the team and finally, the Speedsters get temporary boosts to their own speed in the game. Users can check our complete guide on all the special abilities a car can possess in the Car Abilities Guide here.

When it comes to car modifications, the game offers many customizations offers such as plates, suspensions, brakes, engines, and even stances to make your car look leaner if you like. After every race in the game players can repair the car as the damage inflicted by the car during one race gets carried over to the next race. This adds a sense of realism and further makes the game a challenge for new players to tackle.

Special operator skillset offers a unique over the top experience

Moving further with our Ace Racer Review we would like to stress the fact that each car in the game has a different special final power that can be used once the nitro level reaches the maximum level. Some skill sets like speedsters make it easier for the players to race in the game while others like Interceptors make it harder for your opponents to compete with you. The game also allows players to team up and strategize the game plan using all three operator skill sets.

The game just like Asphalt 9 aims to deliver an action-packed racing experience while banking on beautiful landscapes and extravagant race tracks. To the most extent, it does a great job in delivering the same, and that too without making any sacrifice on the performance part of the game. Ace Racer is perfectly optimized to deliver the gaming experience given you have the right specification.

Choose your ride from a variety of real and fiction cars available in the game

When it comes down to the number of cars available for selection in the game then there is no definite answer to that question, as the developers keep on introducing new cars on regular timespans. There are some of the big names in the game available for selection while also some newcomers making it to the final cut. Hop in the driver’s seat of a Porsche 911, Nissan GT-R, and other real-life luxury rides, along with some of the developer’s own creations.

The game offers a very fast-paced racing experience set in an ever-evolving and challenging environment. Each racetrack has something unique to it and offers a completely different experience than the last. The game all in all can be considered a treat for racing game enthusiasts. Each competition is fast-paced with one minute per round. Dig, drift, drag, and drive your way across the finish line. Ace Racer allows the players to virtually own the track

To ease players into the game and give them a sense of the gameplay mechanics, multiple training missions will be available. These early-stage missions are there in place to make sure that players can get a hang of how the controls work in Ace Racer, allowing them to better understand the fast-paced environment of the game. Completing all these newbie quests will not only make the game simpler but also includes sweet rewards like the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the BMW M8 GTE.

The game to some extent can be considered pay to win

Ace Racer Review, Ace Racer
Image via NetEase

There is a slight unbalance between the cars available as unlockables in the game through completing different quests of even the same tier. For example, some cars of the ultimate tier that can be directly unlocked by purchasing the crates in the shop offer more speed and acceleration than cars of the same ultimate tier that are unlockable through quests in the game. This gives the players an unbalanced experience and an advantage for pay to win. Players can check about the best cars in the game in our comprehensive Cars Tier List here.

Final Verdict

The game offers a very similar gaming experience to that of Asphalt 9, which is a great game in this genre to benchmark against. The gameplay might seem complex at first due to the different operators available in the game, however, it adds diversity to the gameplay and once mastered the gameplay becomes very simple even for beginners. Customizations are available for both cars and riders, for cars the customization is detailed, and for the rider not so much.

Ace Racer Review, Ace Racer
Image via NetEase

One aspect where the game doesn’t add much to the game is the battle pass and the rewards available for a regular player. In order to get new and faster cars one will definitely have to purchase the bundles available in the shop making it a bit pay to win sort of game.

All things consider Ace Racer is definitely a premium free-to-play racing game available in the market today. Racing fans are sure to like the game given all the features and resemblance to Asphalt 9. With that being said we hope that with our Ace Racer Review, we were able to do the game justice and highlight the important aspects of the game.

If you’ve ever used a controller to play games, even on mobile, then you might actually prefer it to touch controls for certain games. Now there are a bunch of different options out there. You could invest in something like the Dualshock 4 or Xbox controller, a Razer Kishi, or some other premium controller. The Ant Esports GP100 is something of an exception though and also a very economical option, possibly due to its origins in India. This review is going to go over the good and the bad of Ant Esports GP100

Starting off with the Ant Esports GP100 review, when it comes to playing racing titles or something like the GTA ports for mobile, a controller is actually a great way to play. The pros of expensive controllers are that they are incredibly reliable and last for years. However, if you have a smaller budget, there are still a lot of options Here comes, the Ant Esports GP100 as its usually available for a bit more than 1,000 INR (a little more than $10), although the actual MSRP is 1,799 INR so Amazon does have a pretty sweet deal and the controller is available for even cheaper on the official website.

Pros

Comfortable Form Factor and Good build quality

Although the controller looks a bit on the stubby, large side, it’s quite comfortable to hold onto and get used to. The game goes for a joystick layout similar to that of the Xbox and Your hands might choke up on the arms of the controller at first but it’s something that players can get used to easily.

Along with the XYBA buttons, two joysticks, and directional buttons, L1,2,3 and R1,2,3, there’s Select, Turbo, Home, Clear and Start. Now, these buttons didn’t exactly always work but that was more or less because the games weren’t paired with those buttons.

Ant-Esports-GP100-Controller-Features
Image via Ant Esports

The shell of the controller feels sturdy and can handle a few knocks in terms of design, there’s not much difference between the GP 100 and the GP110 but the wire connection points on the GP100 do seem to be sturdier and better. The ergonomics are actually pretty good too and there are no complaints about the way the controller sits in the player’s hands.

Wired connectivity

The game’s wired connectivity is a bit of a double sword but here are the pros that come out of it. There’s no time wasted or interruptions because of the time that charging takes. The game directly draws power from your devices and the length of the wire is pretty decent so you don’t have to be worried about having to stick to your phone or tablet screen.

Wireless options at this price range are not ideal either because they are prone to issues like frequent disconnection and the controller does come with a USB A to Micro USB OTG connector.

Gameplay experience

It really felt great to complete a playthrough of GTA: Vice City, drive around in Hot Lap League and break down doors in Doorkickers: Action Squad with this controller. For some games, we did have to set up the device and pair the right controls but that’s a one-time process and a rather important one since players have the freedom to use the controller according to their preferences.

Ant-Esports-Gaming-Controller-Box
Image via Ant Esports

The controller does have Xinput and Direct Input and the haptic feedback also is a really cool feature, especially since the whole thing operates on a small budget.

Cons

Issues with design

There are very minor flaws here and there with the controller that can be avoided for the most part. Some of the buttons didn’t exactly always work but that was more or less because the games weren’t paired with those buttons. It seems like the controller has digital triggers, not analog and some users might have an issue with that but again, you’re not paying too much.

Another issue is how the XYBA buttons aren’t marked clearly and darker than the rest of the plastic, which could be a little problematic for users playing with a controller for the first time and we noted bleeding from the LED indicator lights through the joystick slots and doesn’t look all too visually pleasing. Again, very small nitpicks.

Wired connectivity

Ant-Esports-GP100-formfactor-haptics
Image via Ant Esports

Coming to the cons of a wired controller, here’s what we felt. The wired setup might be a bit janky and having to carry around OTG cables (especially if you use this controller for different devices with different ports) is a bit of a hassle too and users will have to get their own USB–C OTG cables but at this price range, it’s excusable.

FPS game compatibility

Now the one place where this controller probably would not fit in all too well would be in FPS games since fingers and touch controls allow for more precise and quicker movements. Although with Gunfire Reborn, a game with rather a strong aim assist, the controller worked fine.

Final Verdict

If you’re on a budget, there’s no reason to not buy the Ant Esports GP100 controller. It’s a fifth of the price of something like the PS4 Dualshock and is efficient and enhances the gameplay experience.

When it comes to cheaper options, this is great because, unlike some other products, it has a clean design and not a flashy or cheap look. One other issue is the lack of availability outside of India but hopefully, ANT Esports will expand overseas. That being said, overall this is a great gaming accessory.

Roller Drama is an Indie, part sports management part visual novel where players take control over how the story unrolls. The developers, Open Lab Games offer great pliability to the players with the dialogue choices making the game have multiple different endings each depending on the choices you undertake during the course of the game. The game has a fitting title itself, as Roller drama offers much more than what a regular skating game would offer. The game takes you deep into the lives of the coach and the players where players will be making or breaking the relationships based on their choices. In our Roller Drama Review, we will break down the game and give an overall rating for the game.

The game makes you feel every emotion it can offer, players since the beginning are made to take the role of the coach by the name of Jeanne D’Arc. Before every match in the game, the coach will have a dialogue option with the players under their charge, where your choices will define if your squad is motivated or unnerved going into a match. The game is pretty engaging and really helps the players to get really attached to the characters in the game.

Embrace an engaging but linear storyline

Starting off with the Roller Drama review, the game offers an in-depth but predictable storyline, there are not many surprises with the storyline making it a bit predictable sometimes. This however doesn’t make the game boring in any sense. It still offers a unique experience where players have to not only win games but also try to manage the personal relationships between the players while making dialogue choices that will shape the story ahead.

Roller Drama Review, Roller Drama

The game starts with the players taking the role of the coach, Joan, living with a team of five skaters. These five skaters, all girls are your team around which the whole game would revolve upon. The five athletes are Anne, Lily, Portia, Cordelia, and Juliet. The game makes the players manage all personal aspects of their life, how they train, they play the sport, how they handle their friendships, love interests, and even the enemies they make.

Roller Drama Review, Roller Drama
Image via Open Lab Games

Hence it will be fair to say that this game is much more than just a Sports management sort of game, it allows you to narrate the story as you may like. The game is split between maintaining the balance between personal and professional lives, in order to keep winning matches. To make the story even more engaging, the developers have made sure that there are multiple endings to the game, each depending on the choices of dialogues you make within the playable course of the game.

Building team synergy is crucial for success in roller derby matches

Continuing with our Roller Drama review we would like to mention the fact that when it comes to the matches in the game, teamwork is the only way forward, and that is the sole reason the developers have provided the option for the players to have control over the personal life of the characters too. This allows the players to either build or demolish trust and coordination between the players through the dialogue choices present in the game. Your team synergy will work wonders for your team by building trust and teamwork.

Roller Drama Review, Roller Drama
Image via Open Lab Games

Matches require you to strategize the formation in the way your team will perform. The game is simple there are two jammers in the game one from each team, they are basically the skate runners, they do the laps around the track while the remaining members of each team form a barricade to not only stop the opposite team jammer slow down but also to protect the team jammer go through the barricade easily. Everything might sound a bit confusing in the beginning but it all comes along as you progress further.

Now the player’s job as the head coach is to control the team barricade and help the team jammer by giving them instructions which can be done by using the in-game interface there are different powerups that can be used at different times all according to the coach. Along with this, the coach also has to give instructions to the team barricade who has to balance breaking up the enemy defense, protecting their jammer, and slowing down the opposition jammer.

Roller Drama Review, Roller Drama
Image via Open Lab Games

The game is fun and engaging as it requires timing and strategies as to when boosting the jammer and when to use the barricade powerups to stop the opposition’s jammer. All this is done while maintaining the team’s energy levels so they don’t get exhausted before the match is over. This adds an extra sense of entertainment to the game where a proper team management experience is on offer, not to forget the relationship-building part of the game which happens off the field.

The game is all about immersive visuals with not-so-dark humor

In some parts of the game, the visuals of the game are pretty impressive. The game although having a lot of weird and confusing turn of events never seems to bore the audience. There are however some instances where some decisions and some outcomes were not properly explained in the main storyline making us wonder that the game could’ve been a bit longer than it is.

As soon as you will start the game, a disclaimer would pop up to make you aware of the “darkish humor” that the game will offer. This makes us extend just a friendly reminder from our side, to not venture into the game expecting great bants out of it. The game is not boring from any angle but it certainly doesn’t have any content worthy of a disclaimer.

Roller Drama Review, Roller Drama
Image via Open Lab Games

The most engaging and entertaining part of the game is definitely the derby matches. There is just so much to do and so much happening in the matches that it keeps you on the edge of your seats, thus adding to the fun. The rest is alright but a bit confusing at times. As far as the humor side is concerned it won’t make you cringe but it certainly won’t tickle you in the belly.

Final Verdict

Let’s face it, the game is odd, but in a positive way. The game could’ve definitely been a bit longer because some aspects of the story are very random, for instance, Portia the team captain gets a boyfriend adding a twist to her love life is sudden and no past reference is there. Maybe it’s the way the developers wanted the players to experience the game, however, for me, a little background and explanation could’ve played nicely in some parts of the story.

Roller Drama is not bad at all, especially considering the fact it is a visual novel game. However when the price tag comes into play then the real question comes up, was it worth it? The answer is somewhere between maybe yes and a straight no. The story sometimes becomes so random that you get completely get lost and struggle to match things together in pieces. The UI makes it hard to even read at times what is written in the dialogues and the game’s interface in general.

The game however does offer a great narrative experience while offering almost 100 options while making crucial decisions with each offering different endings in the game. If you are someone who likes the storytelling experience, not to mention the in-depth sports management section of the game which is highly engaging and fun to play, then this might be the game for you.

Tomb Raider Reloaded is the new adventure title developed by Emerald City Games and brought to you by CDE Entertainment. The developers made sure to let the interested players know that they will be delivering Tomb Raider from a whole different perspective. Well, they were not lying, the game is a shadow of the versions available for PC and consoles. The most clearly visible difference is the viewpoint perspective while the hit titles on PC and Consoles were based on a third person based perspective, Tomb Raider Reloaded is rather an isometric stage-clearing title where each level offers some repetitive and some unique monsters to slay. In this Tomb Raider Reloaded Review, we will try and express our views on the game.

Fight monsters, recover relics, and explore abandoned ruins as Lara

Starting our Tomb Raider Reloaded Review, we would like to mention that the game offers everything a Tomb Raider game offers on paper, the adventurous journey that the players will undertake while on their way to fight monsters in the abandoned ruins. The game as said before is based on a level clearing gameplay and delivers a very different gaming experience for fans who have already played the console versions.

Tomb Raider Reloaded Beginners Guide, Tomb Raider Reloaded
Image via Emerald City Games

If you are someone who is into isometric action-like gameplay then this might be just the game you were looking for, however, if you prefer a more classic Tomb Raider experience then don’t even bother to venture into the game as it is really not even the shadow of the console and PC versions.

The game has been recently released, hence more features and details might be added after its first update is released. However no update will change the gameplay style of the game, hence don’t expect great things if you are a classic Tomb Raider fan.

Tomb Raider Reloaded offers gameplay similar to Archero

The game does not have much to offer when it comes to gameplay, it is a simple movement-based gameplay very similar to another popular game, Archero. The title offers stage-clearing gameplay where there are a number of uniquely created levels each offering different layouts of maps and enemies to tackle with. As you progress through each level, you’ll be able to stack abilities and perks such as piercing shots, experience boosts, and much more.

Tomb Raider Reloaded pre-registration

Players are made to control the movement of the character, where doing the attacks of the enemies is the way forward. The enemies in the game, have different patterns of attacks which makes the gameplay a bit interesting and adds a little unpredictability to the game. Needless to say, as you keep on progressing further down in the stage, the levels keep on getting harder and more enemies to spawn in the round.

The game lacks content and gets repetitive really quick

Tomb Raider is known for being set in visually appealing settings, part of which has a lot to do with its success on a global stage, however, with Tomb Raider Reloaded given the change in gaming perspective, it is hard to relate. Tomb Raider has a dedicated fanbase with the fans appreciating the artwork and designing levels of the developers along with the thrilling adventure the game offers. Nothing as such is there in the new Tomb Raider Reloaded.

Tomb Raider Reloaded Beginners Guide, Tomb Raider Reloaded
Image via Emerald City Games

The stages in the game while being developed and designed quite uniquely all have the same linear formula which is based on dungeon clearing sort of gameplay where once you kill all the enemies in one level you progress to another one, nothing fancy other than that.

You get to choose powerups at the end of clearing a level and then you go again, the cycle continues, making it quite repetitive. The only thing in common with this and the PC, Console versions is the fact that you are Lara Croft.

The game has some Tomb Raider references for making the story as engaging as possible

As of now, there is just a single linear level-based game mode in the game, which is divided across uniquely developed maps each offering challenges of its own. The new mobile game is the first game to offer an isometric level clearing experience in Tomb Raider history, and it shows, not to be too critical but more content should be added in the future for players to get a true Tomb Raider experience on their mobile devices.

Tomb Raider Reloaded Beginners Guide, Tomb Raider Reloaded
Image via Emerald City Games

The game promises to take them on an adventure to locations from other games in the franchise like the City of Vilcabamba, the Lost Valley, and St. Francis’ Folly. It will also feature characters like Winston, Anaya Imanu, and even Werner Von Croy. This will help connect to the game and stay invested for a longer span of time while playing the game.

There is a dedicated weapon crafting system in the game where players can craft better weapons in the game and get higher-tier weapons and armor for Lara. The game tries to take inspiration and influence from the classic Tomb Raider titles by offering a mix of adventure and action, with players wielding Lara’s iconic twin pistols and diving deep into ancient locations for a globetrotting adventure.

Final Verdict

The game, Tomb Raider Reloaded is a new step in the series toward something the series has not experienced or delivered in its history. Hence it will be harsh to be very critical of the game, yes it is not what someone like myself, being a Tomb Raider fan would expect from the title.

But it surely can be improved and worked upon in the future by the developers once they will get enough experience in making titles like these. The biggest change is of course the change in the gaming perspective where players have an isometric view of the game and only control the movement where the attack is completely AI-generated.

This is something not every classic Tomb Raider fan will appreciate given how different the console and PC versions are, which are the reason behind the title’s success. However, there is definitely a small section of the mobile gaming community that might like this gameplay-based approach.

Tomb Raider Reloaded is a new step in the series toward something it has not delivered in its history, but again this will not be appreciated by classic Tomb Raider fans given how different the console and PC versions are.

Static Shift Racing offers an open-world racing experience to the players, developed and brought to you by Timbo Jimbo, an Australian studio. In the game, players can not only modify their cars but also test their mettle against other real-time players in the game to get a gist of where they actually stand in comparison to the other riders in the game. Here in this article, we will review Static Shift Racing and share our first impressions of the game.

The game, Static Shift Racing takes place in an imaginary city of Static nation where players are given a free hand to explore and find challenges in an open-world environment. The challenges and races vary completely from each other hence it ensures that the players get a uniquely amazing driving experience.

Explore the Static city and pick up Challenges scattered all around

Starting off with the Static Shift Racing review, the game is based in an open-world environment where players can have a free-roam experience and interact with the in-game features of the open world, the game offers multiple maps as well depending upon the different levels of the player within the game.

Tear through the streets of Static Nation, a vast open-world playground comprised of multiple thriving districts. The game has just been released and there might be new maps on the way with the next updates in the game, Stay tuned for updates as additional districts will soon expand the city limits of Static Nation.

The map is also very interactive there are races and mini-events scattered all across the map which players can easily access while driving through them, Challenges scattered throughout the world allow you to demonstrate your driving ability, from drift-based challenges to time trials.

Static Shift Racing’s unique mix of activities will keep you entertained. Explore sweeping highways, race through dirty industrial zones, and drift among forested mountain passes. The game is sure to have a very diverse experience on offer for interested fans.

Drive through the underground Racing system with an epic car collection

The game, Static Shift Racing takes place back in the 90s when the streets are unruly and no laws bind the drivers of Static City. The game offers an insight into how the street racing scenario was back in the 90s and it shows with the collection of cars in the game while having the inclusion of some big names, the models of individual cars are straight from the ’90s.

Static Shift Racing’s car list is ever-expanding. Unlock legendary cars from the 80s and 90s, and drive them to the absolute limit. As of the time of writing this review, there are just 5 cars available. However, with the next coming up updates to the game, it can be expected that the game will add more cars to the collection. As stated before each car has different levels of upgrade available in the game, similarly each car has hundreds of customization options, allowing you to build a truly unique car.

Customize your car to your heart’s content

One thing which shines the brightest in the game is the fact that there are many customization options available in the game that the players can choose to opt for. This can be in terms of decals, body parts, engine tuning, and many such features which can make sure that your ride turns out to be the most unique ride among all other players in the game.

The game, Static Shift Racing offers a Need for Speed Underground type vibes where players can roam through the city and pick up challenges all along while testing their skills against real-time players and prying cops on the road. Car customization is the heart of Static Shift Racing. Its in-depth modification options enable you to build and drive the car of your dreams. With every new level you clear up, the more options you keep on unlocking as you go through.

New Color jobs, new rims, new decals, and altogether new rides are available as you keep on progressing through the storyline within the game. Players as they keep progressing down the line can browse an exhaustive catalog of unique modifications from rims, bumpers, side skirts, full-body kits, spoilers, hoods, and so much more. The game offers the players enough options to make their ride different enough from the other riders.

The players can also control what stance the car should have, stances can help improve the air time the car would likely have. Adjustable suspension and camber to empower you to enhance the stance of your car. Stunt points in the game help really well when trying to fill up the Nitros in the game and having a higher suspension and stance can help the players have a good chance of getting the most out of every stunt they undertake.

Tune your car to its maximum limit to kill the competition off

It won’t be a good racing game if there would be no custom engine customization options available to the players. Players could easily get access to multiple engine options along with other performance-related options such as brakes and Nitros which can give a considerable boost to the performance of the car in the game.

In the game, all the updates can be accessed from the in-game garage in the game, where the single upgrades cover every aspect of the upgrades your car will need in terms of performance, each car has a different number of upgrades available, for example, the basic rides at the beginning of the game offer a total of 5 upgrades in the game with each offering a plus 50 points to the overall performance added on the previous count.

Each upgrade in the game does add some additional cool features as well, for example, some fireback animations or additional smoke in the drift animations, as you will keep on progressing down the line, more engine options will be available, and more cool features will be added to your ride along with of course better performance of the car. Leveling up is the only way to move forward in the game as you level up you unlock better upgrades for your ride in terms of performance and there is no substitute for it.

The game is not a pay to win and offers fair competition

The game has got an in-game store through which players can buy in-game resources to purchase better equipment for their ride, but it doesn’t make much difference because not all races are just about speed, many of the races in the game test the driving abilities and most importantly what sort of control drivers have on their rides.

Hence in the game, Static Shift Racing it is not about who has the bigger gun, it is more about who is aiming it. Better practice and better skills can easily overwhelm a faster car with loads of resources and better equipment in the game, thus the game promotes an equal and fair environment with no pressure of spending money in-game.

Final Verdict

The game aims to bring the old-school Need For Speed Underground vibes back to mobile devices. Static Shift Racing is still early and doesn’t has many cars to choose from as of the time of writing this review, but that is definitely going to change as the developers have made sure that new cars will be added in the later updates of the game.

The game not only offers a good racing experience but also gives the freedom to the players to explore and discover different secrets and races which are spread all across the city. The rivals are none other than the other real-time players who play the game, this gives a real street racing touch to the game. Static Shift Racing, all in all, does do justice to the title and focuses on all types of races, the classic sprint races, the drags, and the circuits, thus making it a rather complete game for its category.
