FUT Esports have been crowned as the champion of PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Turkiye Spring 2023. The team has topped the leaderboards with a huge lead of 56 pts ahead of the first runners-up Ozarox Esports. The tournament featured a total prize pool of $150,000 USD and FUT Esports will be taking the lion’s share as the champions of the tournament.

PUBG Mobile PMPL Turkiye Spring 2023: FUT Esports and its run for champions

In the league stage of the tournament, FUT Esports could not show any extraordinary performance. The team came in the 7th spot on the leaderboard with very less points compared to every other team. The league stage was topped by the favourites S2G Esports.

Out of the 20 participants, the top 16 teams from the League Stage qualified for the playoffs stage. Even after not having a satisfactory performance in the league stage, FUT Esports made a strong comeback in the playoffs stage as they bagged three chicken dinners on the first day of the playoffs stage.

Among the three days of the playoffs stage, FUT Esports showed dominating performance in the first two days. Five chicken dinners out of twelve matches gave them the much-needed boost to the top of the leaderboard. However, the team again failed to perform on the final day of the playoffs stage. However, it could not affect their ranking much as they still managed a pretty comfortable rank.

The Battle Adda: New State, a PUBG: New State Mobile tournament hosted by the game’s developer Krafton that exclusively featured esports teams from India ended yesterday and yielded Revenant Esports as the winner of the week-long tournament – New State Battle Adda. From the 32 teams that participated, 16 made it to the finals where Revenant bested the others to win the trophy.

Battle Adda: New State – Overview

In the two-day long Final of the tournament, Revenant Esports fought it out with other teams that gave stiff competition before they eventually secured the title of champion. Playing in a way that blended both calculated aggression as well as prioritizing placement points, Revenant put on a consistent string of performances that ultimately gave them the win.

Meanwhile, S8ul, India’s most popular esports team got into a heavy tussle with second-placed Hyderabad Hydras for the runner-up spot but they fell short of their target and ended their run by clinching the final podium spot. OR Esports were another team that looked like they could take home some big results but failed to do so despite the spirited performance of their player Rtihvii.

Team Mavi and GodLike Esports, despite huge expectations from their loyal fanbases, did not display particularly strong gameplay and had to stay content with just being present in the top half of the table, albeit without a podium spot.

The Battle Adda: New State featured a total prizepool of Rs. 1,000,000 or a sum of $12,239. The winners Revenant Esports bagged Rs. 5,00,000 while runners-up Hyderabad Hydras and third-placed S8ul earned Rs. 2,00,000 and Rs. 1,00,000 respectively. The rest of the prizepool was divided among the other teams with the sum decreasing down the order of the table.

Individual accolades

Besides the team awards, there were also some titles reserved for those individuals who shone in the tournament and made a mark for themselves and their teams. The much-coveted title of MVP went to OR Esports’ Rithvii which also included a prize of Rs. 1,00,000. Rithvii also got the award for getting the most headshots which got him Rs. 50,000. Despite his best efforts, OR Esports as a team failed to keep up with their star player and failed to get a favourable result.

On the other hand, OpticGod from S8ul who finished third, got the award for being the best IGL of the tournament, which is justified by the way he led his team through thick and thin and kept his composure even when the going got tough.

Conclusion

Ever since the restrictions imposed by the Indian government on PUBG Mobile, Tencent, and subsequently Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI as well, New State Mobile emerged as the leading mobile esports ecosystem of the country with many PUBG Mobile players and teams shifting to the new game. The success of the Battle Adda: New State might just be a step in the right direction for the sustainability of the game’s success in India.

The PUBG Mobile Pro League Europe Spring 2023 or the PMPL Europe Spring 2023 has just concluded and we have the new champions of the continent, and they are none other than Gaimin Gladiators. The ex-Navi roster that got disbanded following the unrest in Ukraine, was already an accomplished lineup that enjoyed success in both the global and domestic stages of PUBG Mobile Esports. Read further to learn more.

PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Europe Spring 2023: Gaimin Gladiators on its road to champions

While many might think that winning the tournament was a cakewalk for the much-experienced roster comprising of seasoned PUBG Mobile veterans, viewers will say otherwise. Gaimin’s Russian counterpart Major Pride, as well as France’s Game Lord, gave them a run for their money and Major Pride even managed to take the title run down to the wire before it got settled in the last game of the tournament.

While Major Pride got more placement points as well as twice the number of Chicken Dinners, Gaimin hit the ball home with their aggressive gameplay that got them the most kills out of everyone in the tournament. Ultimately, the mettle of the winning team was what gave them the edge against the others, aside from other in-game factors.

Besides the teams that lived up to their expectations, some fell flat as well. Madbulls and Unicorns of Love were among the favourites coming into the tournament, but Unicorns of Love displayed a show of gameplay that they would rather forget. Madbulls meanwhile took second place in the league stage but ultimately fell short in the finals, although not by a big margin.

Other teams such as Konina Power and Virtus.Pro, despite being big names did not really have what it took to take home the title but nevertheless being of such calibre, people expected better results from them. Overall, it was quite an enjoyable tournament and the teams really showed what they were capable of.

The PMPL Europe Spring 2023 had a prizepool of $100,000 that was divided among all the participating teams, with the amount of money decreasing down the order of the table. The exact amount of money that each team got has not been disclosed, but it should be similar to the other domestic leagues.

Conclusion

The top 8 teams from the PMPL Europe Spring 2023 finals have qualified for the European Championship and will fight it out against teams from other regions. Next, they will participate in Tencent‘s second largest PUBG Mobile tournament, the PMWI which is due later this year. Till then, it is hoped that all teams will retain their form and perform to the best of their abilities in the next tournament.

Both the champions and the runners-up team of the tournament had an outstanding run throughout the tournament. Team SMG came on top of the leaderboard in the Regular Season. They went against Team Lunatix in the Upper Bracket Semi-Final and HomeBois in the Upper Bracket Final where they beat both teams with a scoreline of 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.

The second edition of Peacekeeper Elite League or the PEL organized by Tencent in the ongoing season of PUBG Mobile, 2023 will be held in the coming days where 21 teams will compete to claim the honor of being the top team from the region of China. The Peacekeeper Elite League Summer 2023 will also play its part in seeding teams from China to participate in the annual PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023, the highest honor in the esports ecosystem of the game.

PEL Summer 2023: Format

The PEL Summer 2023 will follow the same format it did for PEL Spring 2023 and the Peacekeeper Elite League Summer 2022. But for those who are still not sure about how it works, here is all you need to know about the unique format that is in place in China’s top-flight PUBG Mobile esports.

The PEL season is divided into three main parts: the regular season or the league stages, the playoffs or the qualifying rounds for the tournament finals, and the tournament’s Grand Final. The regular season is further divided into two more parts: the Breakout and the Weekly Finals. In the breakout stage, all the teams except the top 5 teams from the last two weekly finals fight against each other to fill the remaining 10 spots in the weekly finals.

The top 5 from the following Weekly Finals directly qualify for the next Weekly Finals. The weekly standings are taken into account and the cumulative points give us the regular season standings. Then comes the Playoffs, where teams are assigned headstart points based on their regular season standings, and the top 15 teams make it to the Final where everyone fights it out for the title.

The tournament is set to begin sometime in the month of May and will likely end in July 2023. The dates have not been finalized as of yet.

PEL Summer 2023 will have a prize pool of nearly $2.5 million up for grabs

Peacekeeper Elite League Summer 2023

PEL has long been regarded as the most prestigious of all domestic PUBG Mobile tournaments, and the overall production of PEL, as well as its prize pool, is a testament to that statement. PEL Summer 2023 will have a prize pool of nearly $2.5 million which is more than 10 times the amount that is allocated for each region, except for the PUBG Mobile Japan League or the PMJL, Japan’s domestic league.

Participating teams in PEL Summer 2023

The 21 teams that will be taking part in the PEL Summer 2023 are as follows:

  • Nova Esports
  • JD Esports
  • Tong Jia Bao Esports
  • Team Weibo
  • All Gamers Club
  • Action Culture Technology
  • J Team
  • Titan Esports Club
  • Four Angry Men
  • LGD Gaming
  • Tianba
  • Wolves Esports
  • KONE ESPORT
  • Regans Gaming
  • Six Two Eight
  • Team Pai
  • The Chosen
  • Show Time
  • Vision Esports
  • The Chosen
  • Thundertalk Gaming

The PEL has always been setting a benchmark for other regions to surpass, be it the quality of gameplay, the production, or the overall show and biz, and this time should not be any different. With everything to play for in the PEL Summer 2023 with the slots for the Global Championship at stake, it is sure going to be an entertaining few weeks for everyone.
